What's Next on Substack.
I'm exploring three new topics in the coming weeks and months.
It’s been a few months since I’ve updated this Substack with original content outside of a few posts linking to weekly radio interviews about current events or local issues.
The weeks leading up to the 2024 elections were incredibly busy — both with work and in my capacity as Chairman of the Arlington County Republican Committee — and my workload didn’t diminish after November 5th. Pair that with a couple trips abroad, and here we are mid-February with limited new content for you.
For that, I apologize.
I am excited, however, to provide this update for you. Since my return from my most recent trip abroad, I have sketched out a few topics I plan to explore over the coming weeks and months, providing insights into political developments, local scandals, and international experiences. Some of this content will be available to all subscribers, while select pieces will be reserved for paid supporters.
Interspersed with regular radio and television interviews and other timely observations, you will soon be able to find reflections from across the following three themes (in no particular order):
Notes from the 2025 Campaign Trail
Virginia’s 2025 elections are heating up. As Chairman of the Arlington County Republican Committee (Arlington GOP), I’m deeply involved in campaign efforts in Arlington and across Northern Virginia, including helping to recruit candidates, raising money, and directing resources to voter identification and mobilization.
With Virginians set to elect a new Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, 100 Members of the House of Delegates, and numerous down-ballot officials, this election will have major implications for the future of the Commonwealth. I’ll share first-hand accounts, analysis, and behind-the-scenes stories from the campaign trail.
Some of these observations will be free to readers here, while more comprehensive insight will be for paid subscribers only.
Anatomy of a Local Political Scandal
Arlington County has recently been rocked by a disturbing scandal involving Richard Kenneth Cox, a known serial sex offender who has been charged with multiple crimes for allegedly exposing himself to women and girls in high school girls’ locker rooms and other county facilities in both Arlington and Fairfax Counties.
This story has made national headlines as conservative groups have begun to put pressure on local officials. I’ve leveraged my media expertise and political connections to help bring attention to the current scandal.
I’ll provide a deep dive into this issue, the local response, and how I and others have leveraged our national media and coalition contacts to put pressure on local elected officials with an eye toward changing the political climate in Northern Virginia.
Given the high-level insight I will provide in these posts, nearly all of them will be for paid subscribers only.
Dispatches from Behind the Great Wall
Over the past three years, I have had the opportunity to travel to China twice — in August 2023 and February 2025.
These visits allowed me to experience China’s rich culture firsthand, from vibrant festivals to historic landmarks, to food and the importance of family. As you might imagine, I have also witnesses other aspect of daily life.
Dispatches from Behind the Great Wall will explore these issues, giving readers a nuanced perspective on a country that plays an increasingly significant role in global affairs.

I envy your trips to China. I had an opportunity while visiting Hong Kong back in the 90s, but chose to stay in the freest part of the world instead. I look forward to seeing what you have to write about your visits.
